In order to allow assessment candidates to understand what is included and required as part of their assessment session, NCCER has developed an "Assessment Overview" in the  Assessment Platform.  As soon as a candidate is assigned to take an assessment, they are able to log into the assessment platform and access important information, including:

  • Assessment Specification Sheet - which provides assessment details such as time limit, passing score, total number of questions and topic references with corresponding NCCER training modules.
  • Allowable Testing References - only a small number of the NCCER journey-level assessments allow for external resources.  Those assessments that do allow references are listed on the "Home" page of the assessment platform.
  • Security Statement - the test taker is able to review the required Security Statement which covers NCCER's retest and cheating policy.
  • Certification Information - allows the test taker to understand the requirements for NCCER certification, where available.

NCCER highly recommends that assessment center personnel share this information with test takers as soon as their assessment is assigned.
