The NCCER Product Development team updates curriculum and test questions on an ongoing basis to ensure that the skills and knowledge assessed by our module tests align with current industry standards and practices. If corrections to test questions are made, a new version of the test is published and the former version is expired in the Testing System.

One way to identify an expired module test is by seeing a scheduled End Date on the Test Assignment screen. Once this expiration date (End Date) has been met, only the new version may be launched or started by a test taker.

The purpose of this guide is to provide Testing System users with instructions to identify expired module tests and remove test takers from the expired module test and reassign them to the new version of the module test.
