NCCER will contact the Sponsor Representative and/or Primary Administrator to schedule all audits. Organizations must begin actively using the training and/or assessment programs after being granted candidate status in order to be eligible for the initial audits. The re-accreditation audit is also dependent upon use of the program. After the initial accreditation audit, the organization is audited every 3 years.

Accredited Training Sponsors (ATS):

  • The ATS must submit modules to NCCER for credentials. If the ATS has had no use of the program since the last audit or going into candidate status, the ATS will be given an additional 12 months to train and submit to NCCER. If there is no training conducted and submitted within the extended 12-month period, accreditation (or pursuit of accreditation) will be terminated.

Accredited Assessment Centers (AAC):

  • The AAC must be actively conducting assessments and/or submitting performance verification's to NCCER for audits to be scheduled. If the AAC has had no use of the program since the last audit or going into candidate status, the AAC will be given an additional 12 months to deliver assessments and/or performance verification's. If there are no assessments and/or performance verfication's submitted to NCCER within the extended 12-month period, accreditation (or pursuit of accreditation) will be terminated.
